Our Alignment With UN Sustainable Development Goal For 2030

At The Toy Library, we believe in a world of sustainable and accessible play, where children enjoy a variety of toys while protecting the planet. Our alignment with the UN SDGs reflects our actions and commitment.

Helping redistribute wealth

The Toy Library works with organisations in need of toys and clothes for children and young mothers from migrant communities. It is our core value to respond promptly and efficiently, leveraging our existing network to collectively redistribute wealth in our community.

Fostering a sense of community

We believe that through its hyperlocal platform, The Toy Library creates healthier and more cohesive communities. Members can easily connect with each other as they discover pre-loved toys available around them. In-person events allow them to create even tighter connections.

Educating kids on the circular economy

At The Toy Library, we are developing an innovative and scalable pedagogic program on the circular economy of toys. Circular Kids is the one and only educational program to teach children in primary schools about circular practices and the environmental impact of toys.

A free, privacy-conscious platform for toys

The Toy Library is an innovative and scalable platform that connects givers and takers of highly plastic intensive items such as toys. It’s innovative because it makes invisible, idle assets visible and accessible, and puts them back into the loop of the circular economy.

Re-calibrating toys consumption practices

The Toy Library is grounded in responsible consumption. Our core goal is to re-calibrate current consumption of toys into a more sustainable pattern of re-use of what is already available in the community. By allowing parent-to-parent sharing of toys, we extend the lifetime of toys and reduce waste.

Reducing plastic waste and preventing CO2e emissions

The Toy Library aims to reduce plastic waste and CO2 emission from plastic toys ending up in the landfill and incineration. By facilitating toy sharing and reuse, we're reducing the demand for new plastic production and mitigating climate change. Every toy shared is a step towards a more sustainable future.
